This Privacy Policy explains how NopeAudio processes personal data when you visit the website, create an account, join the mailing list, place an order, use license services, or contact support.

Data controller

NopeAudio processes the personal data described in this policy. For privacy requests, email support@nopeaudio.com.

Data we process

• your name, email address, preferred language and currency, and encrypted account credentials;
• orders, product, price, currency, discount, payment status, payment-provider identifiers, and refund information;
• license status, activation identifiers, device platform, plug-in version, activation history;
• newsletter choice and subscription status;
• support messages and information you choose to include;
• IP address, session and security information, and a hashed or recorded user-agent value where needed for authentication, fraud prevention, audit, or troubleshooting;
• essential cookies described on the Cookies page.

NopeAudio does not store complete bank-card numbers or card security codes. These are handled by the payment provider.

Why we use the data

• to create and secure accounts;
• to process orders, provide licenses, activate devices, deliver updates, and handle refunds;
• to answer support and legal requests;
• to send marketing email only when you have separately chosen to receive it;
• to prevent fraud, enforce device limits, protect the service, and keep necessary audit records;
• to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and other legal obligations.

Legal bases

Depending on the purpose and applicable law, processing is necessary to perform a contract or take steps you request before a contract, comply with law, protect legitimate interests such as service security and fraud prevention, or act on your consent. You can withdraw consent for marketing or optional cookies at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Service providers and disclosures

We share only the data necessary for a task with providers of hosting and databases, transactional email, payment processing, software licensing, security, and professional services. We may also disclose data when legally required by a court or public authority. We do not sell personal data.

A payment provider receives payment and transaction information under its own privacy notice. NopeAudio normally receives a payment identifier, status, amount, currency, purchase email, and information needed for refunds rather than complete card details.

International processing

Some service providers may process data in other countries. Where transfer restrictions apply, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism available under the applicable law and transfer only the data needed for the task.

How long we keep data

• account and license records: while the account or perpetual license remains active and normally for three years afterwards;
• orders, refunds, and accounting records: for the period required by tax and accounting law, normally at least five years;
• support correspondence: normally for three years after the request is closed;
• newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, plus a minimal suppression record where needed to honor the request;
• security logs and sessions: only for the period reasonably needed for security and troubleshooting;
• backups: until overwritten in the ordinary backup cycle.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You may also complain to the data-protection authority that has jurisdiction over you. To make a request, email support@nopeaudio.com. We may need to verify that the request concerns your data.

Security

We protect personal data with encrypted connections, restricted access, hashed passwords, and records of significant account and license actions.

Children

NopeAudio is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from a child who cannot legally provide it. A parent or guardian may contact us to request removal.

We will publish material changes on this page and update the date above. If a change requires consent, we will ask before applying it.
